3rd Generation help me stalls out in drive

i have a 1993 toyota camry le 2.2 liter with about 120,000 miles and it has been running fine but just stalled out on the way home at a stop sign. i managed to start it again but dies if i dont keep it rev-ed, but then if i try to put it in drive it dies immediately.

Not sure, but check your distributor cap ...the interior electrodes should be bright and shiny. If you find any oxide coating, replace cap and rotor. Sometimes the ignition coil can cause problems. Have you replaced your sparkplugs or plug wires lately?

at it again

well i finally took it to the shop and they replaced the distributer spark plugs and wires and it worked well for about six weeks but is now doing the same exact thing. also could anyone tell me where the idle air control valve is located?

it is located under your throttlebody- it's a unit that's screwed on to the bottom

I had a similar problem about a year ago. It was the ignition coil. Only $35 at Advance Auto Parts. I highly recommend changing the coil.
