4th Generation trd struts

got these bilstein trd struts and was wondering something. looking at the bottom of the strut there is a slotted screw with a hexhead jam nut. is this some type of adjustmet? if so what is the procedure for adjustment?

i dont remember seeing these on the bottom of the strut but if you were meaning the sides of the struts bolts... then yes it is for adjustments. You'll need a hex driver/pin whatever and have something holding it underneath it as you turn it. This will allow the strut to be fitted and tightly nicely on your car.

The slotted screw with jamb nut is inline with the strut rod on the bottom of the strut. it definately looks like it is not for mounting purposes. any help would be appreciated.
