Gen 3 Front Turning Signal Problems

So coming back from visiting a buddy, I was driving through a dark street and didn't see the wonderful pothole on my left. I went into it and my left rear tire slammed into my fender. Since then, neither of my front turning signal bulbs have worked. Neither of bulbs are broken and I've swapped bulbs to the front that are working and they won't work either. So it's not the bulbs.
I did search a little but I'm on dialup and it sucks.
I was under the impression that if the wiring ran through the fender area and the tire slamming up cut something or fringed a wire, only the left wouldn't work, but the right doesn't work either.
Also, I was wondering that if something came loose, wouldn't the back turn signal bulbs be effected as well? I think I remembering something about a flasher unit thing controlling all of them, and if it went bad or popped loose, that all signals would stop working?
Every now and then, my right blinker will work for about 5 seconds before it stops again. The left has not worked since.
Any help is appreciated.. Thanks TN'ers.
Neal

First check the 7.5A Turn Fuse... look in fuse box behind coin tray, left of steering column... and also the 10A Hazard Fuse...look in engine compartment fuse box... to your right as you open the hood. Look at under side of fuse box cover...there might be a diagram showing fuse locations.
Might be related to the flasher, but check the fuses first.
