Won't start need help.

Ok i have a 95 4cyl that won't start. It will turn over but never crank. I guess i need to start at the beginning. It's my wife's car and she spilled a drink on the center console. Pretty much on the emergency brake. Anyway on the way home her speed odometer, tach, and fuel gauges weren't working. After a day the worked fine. So i took the center console apart to clean the up the sticky mess. When i got done I tried to start the car and it wouldn't start. Thought i might fried the computer so i had another one put it in but the same thing happened. When you turn the key to start the car the oil, check engine lights, and other lights that usually come on and go off when it starts don't even come on. Door open, interior light, and other things work fine. I think i have blown a fuse somewhere. I don't know where to start on this or even if i am on the right track. Any help would come in real handy and welcome.

Check the 10A Gauge Fuse ....behind coin tray...to the left of steering column...under dash....Could be something else involved though.

Go back and check your wire connections under the console. Maybe you pulled one apart when you were cleaning it. I don't know if it was in the area you were cleaning but there is a wire to the transmission that tells the ECM it the car is in park or neutral before the ECM will allow it to start. However, I don't know how this would affect the pre-start indicator light test sequence.
