4th Generation Gen4 Audio Question

I own a 99' Camry touring and i want to upgrade the sound system, but before i do so i would like to know how to get to the tweeters found on the other side of the mirrors. i don't see anyway to take them off, other than just pull the black casing off...

Also what size are the speakers in the door panel? 6inch?

one other question once unscrewing the interior door panels do they just come off. my old car was built like a tank and even after removing the screws i couldn't take the interior door panel off.

Thanks in advance

Hi there, welcome to TN.Check the tutorial area for the removal of the panels.
About the tweeters you need to remove the black cover grill and the the tweeters are hold by 2 nuts that also attaches the mirror.
I think that the size for the front are 6 1/2.

Thanks for the welcome. Where is the tutorial section, couldn't find it. So what is the tweeter cover held together with?

Here it's the link, It's on top of the gen 3/4, this threads don't go away, they are always on top and contain a lot of different info.

Camry FAQ ------> READ FIRST -----> Comprehensive List of Gen 3/4 INFO and DIY

For the cover lower your window all the way down and pull the cover from the side, be careful, it has a little lip on the bottom, so pull out and once it's partially out you have to pull up a little. When pulling start gentle and pull until it's out..

Good luck,

PS: If you see that you are going to break something STOP, pm me I take a couple of pics so you can have a better idea, but it's not difficult.
