1997 Camry needs some TLC

Our 1997 LE V6 is in need of help. As of about two weeks ago, we could not get the lights to turn off no matter what we did. This problem started gradually, every other time we turned it off etc. Then last Satruday night the lights would not turn off at all and the battery died.
I replaced the battery, as it was old anyway, and now it starts but I cannot get it out of park, automatic windows dont work, no heater, radio, locks etc...

wow, thats alot of stuff thats not related to go wrong. i was gonna say a MOJOR short somewhere in the inerior harness but to trip the tranny liek that, im not sure where to begine. bump cuz im courious to see waht opinions people have about this.
