hello, today i was changing the rear passenger tire on my 1993 camry and one of the nuts was being a real pain in the ass so i put the wrench to the side and stepped on it like i used to do with my bmw and the stud broke off inside of the nut. so effectively i only have 4 nuts holding the wheel on the car now. is this unsafe to drive with? how would i go about fixing the stud? do i need to buy a whole new wheel hub or what? thanks

4 is safe. Just have a shop bang it out...

^ i'm pretty sure he means bang it out and have 'em bang another one in. LOL you can pick 'em up @ auto parts store for less than a dollar each.

It happens every now and a again. I still think think the biggest culprit is the "tire" guys who crank on the wheel with unregulated air guns. You can run on 4 safely for a while, but but there's no need to risk it. If someone over torqued one, they might have all been over torqued. I am not saying replace them all for no reason however.....
