Fuel Filler Neck Replacement

Hello:
I am new to this board and I have been searching for a good DIY thread on a fuel filler neck replacement for the Gen 3 Camry. I have found little after searching for an hour, any direction would be appreciated! I checked with the stealer, the filler neck is about $130.00. Does anyone know if it comes with the hose on the end of the neck that attaches to the tank? Is the tank on the Gen 3 plastic or metal? Thanks in advance!
Long time Gen 3 owner with 220,000 miles (but new to this board)!

This hose is listed as a separate part from the filler neck, the Toyota parts person should be able to confirm the by looking at their parts diagram. The tank is metal.

After this winter, all my cars are turning into rust balls! Gosta love Cleveland! Thanks for the help. I am on my way to the dealer to get the parts. I crawled under the car last night and this looks like a job I can manage without too much swearing. What a ball of rust....Watch out other Gen 3 owners....
Thanks

i would say "junkyard" but theyre probably all rusted out too - i'd google it...
once i found the part and bought it, i'd make sure it never rusted out again too - (not paint) - it is probably even worth having it powder coated if you had the time.

Thanks for the DIY Thread, I really appreciate it. Also...Good advice on the powder coating. I have a friend that does it for a living and I will have him powder coat it for me. I'm glad I found this board!

3rd Generation

OK, it's done. It is more than an hour job though. If you live in a cold climate and have salt on the roads, everything will be rusted to hell and a bear to remove. Thanks to my Dad the mechanic for help...!!! The hardest part believe it or not is the hose clamps that hold the rubber part of the filler neck to the neck itself. The suspension cross member gets in the way, be patient, very patient. This was the hardest part. The old neck was full of holes and Fu@$#%#@^$#@^ Up! The new one is finally in and done! Now I'm going to struggle with the fuel filter due to all the rust in the filler neck. You may see my other thread on leaking fuel lines, they are also fixed! I will post pics later of the rusty filler neck, the pics are amazing, tons of rust and holes! Thats what 220,xxx miles of salty northern roads will do to a nice Camry!
