4th Generation Oil Stop Leak products- opinions?

Anybody tried to use a "stop leak" product before. I'm considering using this one.

Might have a slight leak in the cam, crank or oil pump seal but don't want to replace until the timing belt is due in 20K. Any good or bad reviews?

I have an opinion but a lot of people may not like it. Save your money on these so-called "leak stopper" chemicals and spend it on fixing the leak instead, or buying make-up oil.

There are two kinds of "leak stop" chemicals for oil that i know of. Some are just an oil thickener (since thick oil doesnt leak as fast) or a seal-sweller chemical. The oil thickener may slow the leak down some for a little while, or it may have no effect at all. The seal-sweller may not work at all either, or if it does work, it may work too well - and swell your seals so much that the rear main seal wraps itself around the crankshaft.

Since you know its coming from the front of the engine, i think i'd use some thicker oil instead until i got around to the t-belt and seal change.

I have been very happy with "AT-205 Re-Seal". It doesn't use any petroleum products so the seals supposedly won't get gummy. However, it (like the Gunk product you're looking at) will cause the seals to swell. It kept me from having to replace a rear seal in my old 90 Camry.
