Question 1994 Toyota Camry Won't Start

Hey

I have a 1994 Toyota Camry 4 cylinder LE car I had a couple problems with this car.

I was driving my car all day on Thursday and parked it Thursday Night.

On Friday Morning, I went out to try start my car and go off to work and my car wouldn't start.

So I got under my hood and I checked to see if theres any fuel, spark, oil etc.

There was no oil on the dipstick and I got worried. So I went to the store and bought 3/4 quartz of oil for my car and put it in the engine.

So I went intro my car and try start it agian and it wouldn't start.

So then I told my friend to go in my car and try start it and I seen that all the belts move on my car so I knew that my Engine wasn't shot.

So I checked for spark and there was no spark. So I went to the nearest auto park store and bought brand new spark plug wires and spark plugs and I replaced the old ones with new ones and still not getting no spark. I took off my distributor cap to see if the rotor was spinning and was still on the distributor and yes it was spinning and still on the distributor.

Right now I don't know whats next. Can it be the coil that is the problem?

What do you think is the problem?

"Can it be the coil that is the problem?"

That would be my guess if you are not getting spark.

Primary coil resistance should be 0.36-0.55 ohm cold. Secondary resistance 9.0-15.4K ohm cold

Check wiring to ignition system components, coil, distributor and that they are receiving 12V power. Coil high-tension wire from distributor to coil.

Check signal generator resistance at plug-in on distributor..
G1 to G 125-200 ohm
G2 to G Same
NE to G 155-250 ohm

When looking at the front of the distributor plug-in the terminals are as follows:

G (ground)-G2-G1-NE

There are other things that result in no spark. If the above doesn't work, write back. If you want quicker answers you might want to run some searches on this forum and the Gen 1/2 forum. There will be a lot of posts that pertain to your situation.

I always ask, does your check engine light come on when first turn the key on (at that time that all the idiot lights come on to show that they are working)? It should.
