not sure where the tach wire is on your car....or its color (on mine, it's actually black), but when in doubt, you can always tap the wire coming out of the back of the the tach on your console...

Thanks for the reply. I finally got the remote start to work!

I have a problem though. If you push the lock button on the remote when the door is open, then close the door, the unlock button will not unlock the doors, but if you push the lock button on the remote after you close the door it will work fine. I have tried hooking up both the + and - Door Trigger off the unit to the white / red wire in the 6 pin connector above and to the right of the fusebox. Any ideas?

Also where is the dome light wire? I want the dome light to tun on when you unlock the doors. Thanks!

Anybody???? I don't even need the tach wire anymore, I programmed the started to check Voltage rather than RPM's.

I still have the problem if the door is open and u push the lock button then close the door the unlock button on the remote won't work.

Also where the heck do I tap in to hook up the dome light wire to?!?! SOMEBODY HAS TO KNOW!!!

I started doing my key less system today (was surveying under the dash and testing wires)

So far the information I found here was on point:

http://www.commandocaralarms.com/wir...5/Toyota/Camry

It does not specify a wire for the dome light but I plan on removing the door switch to check the wire color. After I will check under the dash for a match and test to make sure it is correct. You can also check the fuse box to see if it specify a fuse for the dome light.

Good luck

Just looked over the manual and it said that the dome light supervision output must be connected to a relay. Reason: the output was not designed to handle the current draw. There is a diagram showing the relay circuit. I have a wire harness with some relays. Will see if I can get one to work.

How did this end up going? How do you hook the relay up? Also were you able to get the door sensor / trigger working?

Keyless works great, but I did not get the dome light to work. Somehow I ended up blowing the bulb and I gave up. I may try again this weekend.

BTW what system are you installing? The dome light output may be different than mine.

I have the Commando FM-870.

I would like to get the dome light working. Somebody else said you need to hook it to a relay. My unit came with a relay, but I don't know where i'm hooking it too. Any ideas?
