ok so i just got a new job offering me almost $9 an hr and atleast 40 hr weeks yes i know 9 an hr isnt much but hey for me bein a 17 year old kid its pretty good :P but anyways the plans i have for the springbreak and summer right now in no particualar order are. SEAFOAM, 15% tint all around, clear corners/bumpers, and red/clear tails. RMM lip, new rims 17'' or 18'', intrax springs and some struts (still deciding debating between koni and KYB) Res taken off to really get my flowmaster 40 series exhuast going haha, finish my custom cdplayer/cig lighter rapping (Tinted lexan(plexiglass) with green neon mood lights behind for hidden light (will look sick), painted mirrors and trunk center panel black , car alarm, and the rest will go towards getting my car payed off to my parents (still around $3000 (hrs got cut at my current job so i havent been able to give them money for it :[ ), and if i have anything left at all im gonna start savin for v6/5spd swap
All of this may not happen but atleast i have the list.. some expensive some not... since springs and struts and rims and RMM lip are the most expensive those are comming in the last of the list so i can get all the other pieces done first (cheaper ) then what ever else i can star savin will go towards those basicly im really tryin to get my,seafoam ($7) res removal (like $20), tint ($150) , alarm (like $200 for a viper non lcd), and painted parts (like $25 for paint and sandpaper for mirrors and trunk panel) imma do that first cause its not too expensive and should get done pretty quick then ill move on to the next stuff in order!!
TELL ME WHAT YOU GUYS THINK!?!? Any other things i should add in that arnt to expensive to add to my list for this summer? Give me some ideas!!!
Thanks!
Chris
(p.s) ill post pics as i start gettin in parts cause spring break is like next week and imma try to get as many hrs as possible at my current job (pacsun) to get a few things
dont get KYB's, get the koni's. also add a TRD rear sway bar with the suspension upgrade. Probably the best money you'll spend on your car. I love my Coilovers best money I put into it so far!

ok. slow down, kiddo. first of all, its great you got some steady income, but don't go blowing in all at once.
first of all, start small. if u set your goals too far and don't reach them, you'll end up getting disappointed; and no one likes a whiner.
second, i suggest getting your car up to factory spec. for now if you haven't done so already (i.e: full tune up, repair any major mechanical defects, and of course, seafoam engine and fuel lines). extra mods should come after you have your car running 100%.
third, in terms of mods, your best investment is in performance mods (suspension, engine, exhaust, etc) but don't expect huge gains by installing mods. aesthetic mods such as unnecessary painting of parts is overrated (i.e your ride looks great, but does it perform as good as it looks?) think about that, otherwise you'll be just some ricer off the street.
lastly, get that debt off your shoulders. then u can think about mods.

wow, when i was 17 , to get 9 an hour would have been nice. Plus you are in SC so i that probably goes a long way there. but if i had of been smarter when i was younger, I would have gone on and paid debts first, before i spent through my money. Took me too atleast till i was 24 to figure that out lol, and took another 3 years to recover lol. like louie1086 said go on and pay it off or down. Unless you know parents are gonna be gifting the rest, or its a graduation present. Do the regular maintenance on time. keep the basics in top notch shape till you know how your new income is going to be used. I know for me when i was in my younger days 17-24 it seemed like the more money i made the more i HAD TO spend lol.

I understand what your saying and im almost done i just need a tune up and seafoam and its goot to go... yes im going to pay it off but im just startin to put stuff in as i go to keep me into the car and not wantin to sell it.
RichieRichJPneon lights?? No..
ok well obviously you didnt read it right. Yes its a neon but its eather going to be green or white. its going to be such as an interior light. hey am i throwing neons under my car? no... so whats your prob with it then?
BTW Im here for imput on everyones thoughts for my ideas... like i said all this is not going to be done this spring break and summer. Yes i know my income and all of that and yes im getting everything running fine before i start modding so ill say this once but no more cause im in a good mood
No Flaming! just give me your ideas about what else i should do and not just tell me what i shouldnt do and stupid comments like (neons...no, and your rice comments you can keep to yourself.) because we all have different thoughts about our own cars. Im not here calling anyone rice or flaming them so dont flame me
but as for the people that have acually had some decent imput on this thread.. THANK YOU! i know visual mods are a waste of money and yes im just getting a few things done to the outside but i am starting to save up for the engine and 5spd swap atm. the tune up and seafoam are next on my list. then mostlikely the tint cause im tired of ppl lookin in my car with the goodys i got laying around (ive been hiddin them latley tho haha) Springs and struts will be next on the list with an alarm close to follow. idk its all just the ideas i had but as i said above this is just a list with no certains or anything else. I love my car and i cant wait to finally start work on it!!!
My advise would be these mod only....
see if the car works 100% in stock mode.
second if you have the money do thing little by little.
Mods to consider are as follow:
Struts(koni)
Intake(CAI or SRI)
Springs(eibach)
Spark plug wires and plugs(NGK)
seaform
rear sway bar(trd)
lip kit
exhaut.
rims
tint
custom grille
exterior led exchange

[That sounds perfect! i think that is gonna be my todo list for now ] Thank you! but what did you mean by exterior led exchange? like new headlights?
Just to make sure you know koni only works for unsealed strut camrys. So only 92-93 camrys and lexus es300's were that and supposely some early 94 models but that's it. you need to get strut housings from those earlier models to insert the koni strut cartridges.
I'm just saying since you have an 95 camry like mine that you have sealed struts so you need to find some strut housings to use koni reds on are cars. Good luck on finding them I couldn't find shit and would rather have koni's than tokicos any day!!!
Don't consider kyb's since I'm taking a guess that you put it up next to konis since you want some new struts and money issues might not let you get konis but regardless either get tokico's or koni's. I'm assuming you want performance since you put up koni's so don't even have kybs in the list and tokico's is a little more than kyb's anyways.
Koni on the other hand is alot more but I think it's worth it- cheapest I found those were like $500 something compared to $320 for tokicos.

The problem is that it's a waste of money, cheap or not, and it's hardly worthy of being called a mod. I don't know if it's just me, but every time I see a car with other than stock lights in it, it just looks cheap, mismatching, ricey and too "fast and the furious."
Remember its my opinion, agree or disagree.
I'd use that money on something else more useful, such as your manual swap
Struts(koni)
Intake(CAI or SRI)
Springs(eibach)
Spark plug wires and plugs(NGK)

rear sway bar(trd)

you need to move the springs, shocks and RSB to the top of the list. that is one of the few mods i would say is actually worth the money. and no flowmaster, its doesnt sound very good on our cars compared to whats out there, unless of course ur getting it for free then yeah its worth it.
please...do not snap back at people who voice thier oinions about the list that you, in ALL CAPS, want comments on. no one mentioned rice and there are plenty of people who have neon interior lights. if u want lights, pm ASG14, he has his hooked up to his dome light and the effect is really cool.
