Fuel Filter replacement in a 2001 4 cyl

I've read that you need to pull the back seats and disconnect the fuel pump relay to release the fuel pressure in order to change the fuel filter. Has anyone crimped the inlet line and had a good result. Has anyone done changed theirs?

I just went under the hood and changed it. I spilled a bit of fuel, but not much.

As far as the inlet line goes, it's metal so if you crimp it, you're screwed.

I did not keep track of it at that time. Ensure you use flare nut wrench not regular wrench to prevent screwing up the fuel line.
