4th Generation Tokico 1.25 drop ???

Looking around to get some struts, I found this:
HP SERIES SHOCK, STRUT, FRONT, RIGHT, SOLD INDIVIDUALLY -- NON-ADJUSTABLE -- 1.25" Drop, For Performance Enthusiasts Looking For The Best In Handling And Ride Quality, The HP Series Damping Shows Tokico's Valving Flexibility Providing A Smooth Comfortable Ride At Lower Speeds And Greatly Increases Control And Handling At Medium And Higher Speeds, Completes Any Suspension Upgrade That Includes Lowering Springs And Larger Diameter Wheel And Tire Combinations.

So the HP SERIES struts lower the car 1.25 with the original springs ??????
So if I put the eibach's it will drop the car more than with the KYB gr2's ??????

IN europe they cut the bottom part of the strut (were the spring seats) and they lowered as close to the wheel as possible to lower the car. I thought that maybe Tokico does that, or maybe where the struts attaches in the bottom the support it's welded higher to lower the strut.

the spring gives you your height (and suspension travel), the strut only controls the bounce.

I was told by several people that certain struts can lower the car (ie. TRD struts since they're shorter than the stock ones.) Not sure about the Tokico's...

the springs are supposed to push upward on the car, which is why having shorter or different rate springs allow lowering

the struts shouldnt really serve the same function - they are just there as a damper so you dont bounce infinitely as if you were on springs alone
