Din pockets and tweeter question

I asked this in the audio section but didn't get a good answer.

My 99 Camry is a double din but i bought a single din cd player. The universal pocket is to tall so doesn't fit. I searched Google, eBay and some sites people recommended but cannot find one.

Also i need to urgently remove the tweeter casing on the door panel, it looks like its clipped in but when i try to remove it im afraid il snap something. Anyone take a quick photo on how to do it?

Your tweeter casing should just pull off........ and you may need to do some junkyard searching to find a lower DIN storage bin. This isn't much, but I hope it helps!

Which din pocket did you buy. I know some fo them have different faceplates for them to fit various applications. Make sure you're using the right plate. For the tweeter cover, it's held in my 2 clips/pegs. Just stick a screwdriver or trim removal tool in one corner to get it started then just pull it straight off by hand.

I got a din pocket from autobarn. only came as a pocket, no other stuff with it.

I would try the local salvage yard for the lower DIN pocket also.

You can use the pocket from different Toyota models (I used one from a Tercel to put into an MR2) as most of them from the 80s on have them.

Some pockets are little nicer. We had a 1996 Camry which had a door on the DIN pocket.

As others have said, the tweeter cover pulls right off.
