If you're talking about Apexi, I got an N1 universal for roughly $210. Magnaflows have a good reputation as well. They tend to be low and deep.

magnaflows also tend to resonate in the cab alot around 2000-2500rpms. both me and eyeball96 can vouch for that. but they are not loud and have a real deep tone. apexi N1 sounds great, louder and more agressive.

heres my (now Joes) coupe with the magnaflow

If you go with an exhaust be sure to get a really good pre muffler OR buy something like a borla pro xs that mount under the car, then get another cheap muffler to mount as the tip, either way you need something to cut down on noise (not a glasspack though) under the car so the backpressure in the system will make the sound deadening in the muffler absorb excess noise.

Also get a new y pipe, equal length if you can, you will get a nice performance boost with it (~15 hp) and gain some gas mileage. If it's not close to equal length it will sound raspy like a Grand Prix or some other domestic v6 piece of crap (looks at sig)

I'm kind of new to this whole import deal. My truck has true duals all the way back. Why am I going to need a pre-muffler??? I kind of want that agressive sound of the Apexi. I found this video on youtube http://youtube.com/watch?v=yv3qJXOgb6Q and thought that it sounds pretty good. A little raspy though, as you were saying. What exactly IS a premuffler???

Also I like this video. http://youtube.com/watch?v=tDoV_tXsdT4

^ i can vouch for that too...my Y-pipe, unequal legnth and it sounds exactly like a 3800 GM V6.

i believe that was kilgothephenom car there and he has no resonator(pre muffler), put a resonator and it will sound a little quieter but not as raspy.

A resonator helps to git rid of the rasp and is installed before the muffler and after the cat. They don't really tone the sound down (just a little), but instead smooth the rasp out. The Apexi sounds good but raspy without a resonator. I was planning on getting one to smooth out the sound and maybe give me a slightly deeper tone.
