How many oxygen sensors in 94 V6?

The stores like Autozone and Advance Auto show 3. I only see 2 mentioned here on the forums.

The one before the catylic and the one after that is inside the mid console, where you may have to remove the seat to access?

Any insight on this is appreciated. I would like to order some because my MPG is not the best, currently around 23mpg on highway. Very bad.

Thanks,

Stockmover

Are there any of the 3 that are more important than others. Seems that they all are around $125 each. I would hope I see a significant increase after these installations.

Any suggestions of where to order OEM parts? I believe they are Bosch, does that sound right.

Thanks for the fast reply also.

if your check engine light is not on, or your check engine light bulb is not burnt out, that mean the o2 sensor is still working in spec.
if you have extra cash to burn, you may replace them, but i doubt the effect will be huge,

i would stay with OEM sensor, i think it is denso.

i buy my oem part online at www.toyotaoemparts.com
same as if you were to walk to local toyota dealer, but $25% off.

Okay. Thanks for the website. The MPG is terribly low so I just figured. I already did a full tune up including fuel filter, pcv, spark plugs, etc. I put some injection cleaner in the system also. I will search around on here tonight and see if I can find some other fixes that may be cheaper. I am looking for at least 30mpg if I replaced all of the sensors, LOL.

Have a good one,

Stockmover

how low is low?

as for 30mpg...unless you only drive on the highway and drive at 60mph...not usually...

also, what octane of gas do you run?

Ahh....you bring up a good question. I guess since I drive about 120 miles round trip to work each day and 110 of those miles are highway I was expecting more. I will say that I have been keeping the speed at no more than 70 mph and thats right under 3000 rpms also.

I use 87 octane. I am used to getting 30 mpg with my corolla and the newer Camry but those are both V4 so I need to adjust my expectations for this vehicle.

Thanks,

Stockmover

Just checked out http://www.fueleconomy.gov/ and saw that its supposed to be 16 city and 23 highway. There were only 2 users who reported their mpg but that was in order with what I am getting. I feel a little better now.

I will hold off on the oxygen sensors for now.
