3rd Generation HIR bulbs, Depo clears and clear bumpers

Hey everyone, I had a couple of questions concerning lights for a '92 Camry. Sorry if they are obvious, I have some noob tendencies

I want to update my headlamps and bulbs since mine are yellowed and have stock bulbs I've searched through the forum countless amounts of time before posting this and have become quite interested in getting Depo clears. As for new bulbs, I looked at doing the Silverstar conversion but have ultimately decided against it in favor of HIR bulbs. My questions are:

1. Would the combo of Depo clears with HIR bulbs cause me to blind other drivers?

2. If so, would reaiming fix this?

3. Or would I have to reaim them regardless?

Also, I was thinking of getting clear bumpers. I know that clear tail lights are illegal (at least certain parts or the whole thing being clear). Questions:

4. The clear bumpers aren't illegal are they?

5. If so, would using orange bulbs solve this? (although this sort of defeats the purpose...)

Again, sorry for the possible noob questions, but I appreciate any answers

Why not use HID they last longer and are brighter.

You would have to reaim regardless.

The HIR's won't blind others, and you can't be pulled over and ticketed because the HIR's are DOT. The popo won't know you had to modify the bulb for it to sit.

Every car will blind incoming drivers if the road has dips and hills. Its just that the HIR's won't be as bad as HID's

I was thinking of using HID, but I'm a bit low on funds now being in college. So I was probably just gonna get HIR bulbs for the time being. Even though the HIR bulbs are a little pricey, they are less expensive than HID, so once I get the use out of the HIR I'll probably switch to HID, unless I manage to find a HID kit that is cheaper than most kits yet still moderately reliable.

Thanks, I just wasn't sure whether you had to modify the housing at all with HIR as you do with HID.

Any ideas on the clear bumpers? I know quite a few people have them, but my noob curiosity gets the best of me here

i have the clear bumper lights and using the stock bulb. so far so good. i did have the hyper white but i hated the reflection in the housing from the blue tint on the bulb.

^^thanks for the info

On second thought, what about the kits on Mod Express; how are they? Most of what I read about people who've bought them there has been quite positive. I just looked those up realizing that there is a coupon code for TN members that knocks $70 off which would bring the total to $150 for the 9006 4300K one with a relay harness. With bixenon, it would be $180 (?), however I don't see a bixenon one for 9006/9005...do they have those or am I missing something?

Also, if I were to do a HID conversion I would definitely have to learn how to do one first (reading stuff on hidplanet.com right now)

Or you can just pop the 9006 HID into your existing housing, I did, and so have a lot of others on here. The glare is not bad at all. Especially if your car is lowered and the lights are re aimed.

Then when your comfortable with doing it, do the projector retrofit.
