Are the front turn signal the same from 97 to 01 ?????

bulbs...yes, the actual fixtures, no.

gen4(97-99) are smaller then the gen4.5(00-01).

97 to 99 same

00 to 01 is slightly taller (1/2") than 97 to 99, and will not fit (perfectly).
