I have a 97 Camry LE.
Basically all stock except for a drop in K&N and white corner bulbs.
I want to do some cheap easy mods to anything i can.
I'm on a tight budget because i start working in april. I want to get a new head unit and maybe a set of subs.
I plan on doing painted my rear drums and front calipers gun metal black.
So in the mean time anyone know any good ways to gain HP or do any exterior mods without spending a lotta money.
I'm open to all ideas!
THANKS

If you're painting brake components, I assume you actually have some nice wheels already that will show those through...
I added Polarg superwhite bulbs for the rear license plate lights. I also replaced the instrument cluster bulbs with Polarg Superwhite bulbs. I added a small stainless steel muffler tip I got at Pep Boys.

if you have the goofy factory pinstripe, it comes off with a hairdryer and your finger nail, clear corners (or look for the diy i did on blacked out corners and also do the head lights), debadging/repainting the factory badges, window tint (a little pricey),
Try tightening/loosening the throttle kick down cable for firmer and quicker shifts. Regular maintenance is helpful too. The next cheapest might be a muffler (depending on how much you want to spend) and light bulbs, tint for tails, air freshener, broadway mirror, stickers, etc.

Can you explain the "tightening/loosening the throttle kick down cable" to me. Is there a DIY somewhere. I think I might remember seeing that before but am not sure. Thanks.
