Oil Leak, pics, Gasket(s)?

First I would like to say that I searched for this on the Corolla forum but I did not see anything that could help. This is the picture of a Corolla engine. I am just looking for some input here because I noticed a white milky substance on the oil cap yesterday and the starting was very slow. After checking the oil dipstick, which was HALF FULL. I added more oil and it started up much better.

I plan on ATTEMPTING to replace the gaskets on the next warm weekend. Any input is appreciated. If the thread has to be moved, moderators please do so.

Thanks.

Valve cover gasket.
Milky stuff is usually oil and moisture from condensation. Check PCV system and then look at the cap when engine is hot, after a long drive, it should evaporate the moisture and the milky caramel stuff be gone.
