4th Generation Single ground spark plug ok for 1998 Camry?

Can single ground electrode spark plug ok for 1998 Camry I4?

I have some SK20R11 iridium laying around for my 1995 Camry, but my friend's 1998 really need a tune up so want to see if single ground plug is ok.

Anyone running on single ground plug without any issue?

The reason the stock plugs on 97-01 have 2 grounds is because the ignition system fires each plug twice per 4-stroke cycle. Once is from center to ground and another is ground to center. Thus with two grounds, the maintenance interval is increased to 60000 mi for the plugs. The ground and center electrodes have platinum chips.

You're iridium plugs should work, but I don't know how long it will last.

The I4 plugs are so easily changed I use single ground plugs, and can change them in like 10 minutes. I use the V-grooved NGK's

SK20R11 is long life spark plug which have iridium tip and platinum pad on the ground, so it should last pretty long. I just don't see Denso and NGK have recommendation on this type of plug so I am wondering anyone is using it without any problem. I consider this as an upgrade to the double ground platinum plug.
