Just got a '95 Camry that's been sitting for 4 years
I just bought a Black '95 Camry LE that's been sitting in a garage under a bunch of boxes and crap for almost 4 years. The car is in okay shape cosmetic wise but ONLY has 42,000 original miles on it.The best part is i got it for only (Drum roll please...) $750!!! It was my cousins girlfriends and no one could get it started so I said I'd take it off there hands before they moved to Florida and started it up(just had to hit the alarm button under the steering wheel). I bought a new battery, filled up the gas tank and tires and drove it home.It was a very bouncy ride and I need to know if it has rear struts or shocks so I can change them. Is there anything else i should do or check? Remember it's been sitting awhile.
That's a really good deal. I think my Camry had that many miles when I first got it. If the currents struts/shocks need to be replaced, you can go with some OEM ones like KYB GR-2's.
definitely want to replace all fluids, air filter, oil, and probably fuel filter. probably wouldn't go wrong with fresh spark plugs.
