General questions about the 3rd Gen Camry
Hi all,
I may be in the market for a third generation camry soon. I've got some questions:
How do you big guys fit in it? I'm 6'4". My gramma used to have a 3rd gen camry -- it's been at least 10 years since I sat in one, but I seem to remember it having plenty of room.
Are there any typical problems with the third gen camrys? Is there something specific I should look for?
This question is most important to me:
What is the general consensus on the 5S-FE 4 cyl engine?
Wasn't it the 4th gen camrys that had problems with gelling/sludge? They had the same 5S-FE engines in them, didn't they? Or, was it only the 6 cyl 1MZ-FE engines that had sludge problems? I used to have a V6 Solara with that engine in it, and it was fine. Damn, I wish I still had my Solara. Oh well, that's for a different thread.
I just had to replace a 1ZZ in my Matrix -- one of the owners before me neglected it. That sucked.
