1. Those are tinting sheets where you can just tear it off or peel it off..and you will be left with a clear rear window. Just bring it to a local tinting shop and they can peel it for you and redo it. But for a cost of course.
2. no clue..if its broken maybe you can replace it with an alternative found on eBay??

Here it costs about $125 for a professional shop to tint our whole camry (minus the windshield of course). Id just have them redo the back window if its the only problem as far as tint goes.
For the vent...check some local junkyards...you may get lucky...and it wouldnt cost much at all.

1) The tint is going to take elbow grease. You can do it yourself, but you need a hair dryer (or low setting heat gun) to help the strips come off in whole pieces (it beats the alternative of doing it cold, and having hundreds of little pieces to peel off). Once you get the film off, the window will NOT be clear like stated above......you'll need a strong adhesive remover like 3M Adhesive Remover to take the sticky stuff off of the glass. Use care so as not to damage the window defrost lines.

I'm the biggest boss thatchu seen thus far! Baby, that's muh wi'zzard!
dpanda88: can you just peel it from a corner without cutting anything? it's got a pretty good tension to it.
xtremeskier97: I thought a professional tint job costs at least a few hundreds
bigbird: just tear a corner and peel it from there?
eurohazard: what is elbow grease and how would I use it ?
what is the red line and the black line on the window? the red lines are attached to the window itself but the black lines are coming off with the tinting sheet. Do i need to worry about the black lines when removing the tint? Thank you very much !

The red lines are the rear window defrost circuit I mentioned in post #5!

Thanks eurohazard. The red lines are the defrost line, but what are the black lines? The black lines (thicker and fewer than the red) are attached to the peeling tint. Should I worry about it as well?
Heat up the tinting sheet, peel it carefully, clean the adhesive carefully.
