Door open lamp

Have a 94 Camry..When the car is started the door open lamp on the dash is off. When you step on the brake, the lamp comes on and stays on till the car is shut off.
Any ideas????

Thanks

I believe that you are looking at the burned- out- bulb indicator. Check your rear lights.

Bear95,
You are correct it is the tail lamp indicator. But, all lamps work when you hit the brake.....

Check your center tail light. I had this problem, found other bulbs that were burned out in the process and the other lights were working. Took my dad to find that the center tail light was out...

Yes check ALL the lights. If this is not the problem, then it could be the sensor relay in the trunk.
