99 Camry trouble starting when damp outside

My girl has a 1999 Camry with a 2.2 in it. When it is damp out, it'll start but then die if you don't give it a lot of gas. I've changed the plugs and wires and that's not it. I don't know what to look at next. I've read on here about the cap, rotor, and coil but I don't want to change out parts for no reason. Please help.

When it dies, can you start it back up again real easy or do you have to grind it for a while? If you have to grind it for a while you have time to check or spark and fuel. Do that. That may indicate what to focus on.

I believe you have a temperature sensor that would mislead the ECM if it is defective and you have a cam shaft position sensor that might interfer. But I think I'd do the spark & fuel first.

The car will keep doing it until you give it a lot of gas. If you don't you'll basically set there all day trying to get it to stay running. Once you give it gas though, it'll run like a new one. How do I check for spark and fuel? Is there anyway to check the coil, rotor, or cap?
