3rd Generation questions...

Ok so Im new to TN but Ive done a lot of searching for these questions that Ive got..unfortunatley no answers.....I think. Ive got a 92 camry LE

Well first off my tachometer is dead. I have no idea what the hell happened to it but is there any quick fix to it or do I have to take it to somebody to fix it?

Ive also been looking for HIR bulbs and Ive only found ebay that sells em. Do I have to do any modding to throw in some HIR's in the ride?

Last one..trd grill..Ive seen em on the pic thread but am totally thrown off on where to get a hand on one of these..

help appreciated thanks

Hey and welcome to TN. Props for searching before posting

As for your questions, not sure about the tachometer question, I'm sure someone else can help on that.

For the HIR bulbs, the only place you really can find them now is ebay. I did hear about people finding them at local John Deere parts retailers a couple years ago, but it depends on if the one in your area carries them. I called up mine a couple of weeks ago because I plan on getting them and they didn't even know what they were For the modding of HIR bulbs to fit 9006/9005, see:

and this has some more info on trimming:

as for the TRD grille logo itself, they have 'em on ebay, sometimes here, and a few other sites, but I'm not sure what exactly you are asking. I believe most people who have a TRD logo end up doing the mesh grille conversion and sticking it on there (see - Clear your Gen 3 Grille DIY *Pics*) This is what I am actually in the process of doing right now Hope I helped you.

thanks for the info..that second link on the HIR's got me thinking twice about blowing 60 bucks just for slightly brighter output rather than the 75% that these HIR's supposedly put out -_-

anybody else got good reviews for HIR's?

another question. I havent seen one attempt at a VIP gen 3...yet. What would you think if somebody actually pulled the jdm vip look off a camry?

well miltdoggie, did the closest thing with his coupe. i think it would look pretty good but it would cost alot to actually do VIP style. theres also another member here (baggedcamry) whos looks pretty VIP. personally im not a fan but then again ive never seen a true VIP camry.
