4th Generation wierd alignment question

'98 V6 automatic

Just had the front struts, bearings, mount replaced
Just had new standard (205/65r15) put on the oem rims
Just had a 4 wheel alignment

Car rides great!

BUT.... it will pull to the left.... then if I crank the wheel to the limit left.... it will start to pull to the right if I crank it to the limit right...

It is really hard to try and test this all out... because I live in a mountain community... so straight roads are hard to come by..... (the car may self-align after a bit.... But again it is really hard to tell because I really can't go straight for very long) But it definitely does pull....

I have noticed that the drivers side front tire will rub when cranked to the limit left

I have only owned the car for 2 weeks.... and it has 86,000 miles

According to the previous (orig owner) the Rack & pinion was replaced 8.06 at 70,000 miles...

Power steering looks fine.... no leaks, fluid looks fine and is at the correct level.

Any Ideas where I should look 1st???

Thanks

Are you saying if you turn the wheel to the limit left (or right) the car continues in the direction or the steering seems to lock-in on the turn and does not want to come out?

Are these tires something unusual? If not, this an alignment problem, take it back to the shop. The car should want to come out of a turn and not lock in.

If stock parts were used something is wrong with the suspension, it should not rub during a turn unless the tires are a lot wider then normal.

Tires are the size that come stock with the camry v6

I took it for a 120 mile test drive today
The car steers great... I can drive the car in a straight line just touching the steering wheel with my finger.... (it does not pull very hard)

Example: Come to a stop and turn left..... the car will then pull to the left (slightly)
Come to a stop and make a right... the car will pull to the right (slightly)

NOW.... if I go straight (or only making slight turns) for a mile / few miles.... it will self correct and not pull at all

It is like the rack and pinion does not want to go back to center.... until it has time to release all the fluid pressure.

i meant the air pressure in the tire. not the tire size.

If the struts and alignment were done recently ask the mechanic(s) if he noticed anything unusual with the suspension. It kind of sounds like a bushing or tie rod end has some slop in it.
