3rd Generation Is it worth doing

Ok I've search everywhere and cannot find a resonable answer. Is it worth it to switch from hydraulic power fan to electric fan?

I have the 5sfe but from what I've found on the forum, going electric is the best bet...unless your hydraulic fan is going nice...

Do a search your not the first one, but the electric fan is more reliable, easier to service and I think it does a better job too.

Like I said, Search.

Blueeyes, many of the gen3 V6s were hydraulically driven.

I agree with Willy...wait until it gives before you switch over to electric should you want to. Some pros: less parasitic lost (though I'm thinking the fan only comes on when needed, but still, there is the part that still is attached to the motor). Cons: expense.

There is more pros and cons, but do a small search as Will has suggested.

Yes it is very expensive I found out that you'll need a dif power steering pump and I need to get myself a fan relay kit since my gen 3 don't have the connections. Actually the fan stays on all the time and it takes forever for the car to warm up b\c of that.

Your fans temperature sensor is either unplugged or stuck open, thats probably why it's stuck on.
