3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Just finally got my new system in and wanted to share it with u guys.
I recently put 2500 dollars into this system. I am still using my old sub. A Kicker 12L7 2 OHM. I am running the sub on only 350 watts as that is the true RMS that it can take at the current OHM. I am using a Kicker ZX 750.1 and a single Rockford Fosgate 1 Farad capacitor. I also have Kenwood Speakers all around. They include 1710P Componenet Seperates and 6300X( I believe) 350 watt rear 3 way speakers.
Now for the good stuff....
The new system consists of a Kenwood Excelon 8019 In Dash DVD Unit. I also have a Kenwood iP300v connected to control my ipod. The next component I used was Kenwood g510 navigation unit. I used it to go to NYC and it worked wonderfully. The next component I used was a Kicker ZX 650.4 to put some power to the speakers. I then added a Rockford Fosgate 360.2 Sound Processor to control and tune my sound system. This unit is amazing it, has a program that you can control the unit via bluetooth. Once I had the components I had them all installed by the one and only audio installer who has ever touched my cars, Audio Connection in Columbia. These guys are awesome. I know all the installers by name. I have been going here for at least 8 yrs. Anyway we did a custom setup and flush panel to make it look clean and show the ZX 650.4 amp off. I with the help of them deceided to change all the wire to 1/0 Gauge. By doing so, I also upgraded the inline fuse to a 300A fuse. It is huge. I have the trunk, rear deck and roof completely dynamatted. I also upgraded the battery. It puts out 800 CCA over the stock 660 CCA. This system is awesome, it is more used for SQ than everything but can hit hard too with bassy songs. I have listed some pics below of the setup:
Here are the components minus the wire kit.
Here is the install.
Leave some feedback on what you think. I am upgrading the altenator in the future as well as dynamatting the doors and floor and changing to a ported box.

looks good, you should add in a big 3 upgrade too. extremely cheap compared to your budget there and fairly easy to do
I understand what you mean, I have just recently purchased an altenator, a 180 amp HO. I also bought a Dynamat Door Kit to do the front doors again to add another layer of dynamat. I am also buying 10 ft of 1/0 gauge wire to do the big 3 upgrade. I should have everything done in a few weeks.

nice- those are some pretty serious upgrades I'd kill for that RF sound processor...
I've never been a big fan of kicker though- heard a couple L7s, had a cvr, and my buddy had a 1000.1.
Pretty loud, but never been a fan of the response on them. I guess I'm getting old and not so much about SPL and really just about SQ now.

well the solobaric is good for SQ also as long as it is wired correctly and in a optimum sized SQ boxed as described by Kicker. I will be going to a ported box, maybe.

I understand but my installers assured me that they will be able to get air via circulation and be ok in the current position

This is a 180 amp altenator that I upgraded to. You can see the 1/0 Gauge Power Wire instead of the original 4 gauge wire.
