Tell me if this is normal...

Before i start little backgound on the car its a 1997 Camry V6 w/ 302000 km on it, it had a vac leak causing a iddle issue...

i had to get the thermostat replace on the car due to having no heat in it for the last week, i took it to a local rad shop and had it repalced(my old one was original equipment (not bad show toyota quality right there) says that the old one crapped out and replaced it with a 170 degree one and now my idle issue is gone..

Any ideas why it would have stated since its two different issues

was the car runnin hot before you replaced it?

even weirder no just the idle issue where it would normally go between 800-850 in part or neutral even after warming up sometimes dropping to near stall out, now perfect idle of 850-900
