oh no e-brake no longer need braking! + awesome discovery!
Should I worry that my transmission might be failing?
For some reason all sudden today my e-brake all sudden lifts it self up while im not even pressing onto the brakes! Which usually requires me to hit the brakes before lifting.
As I don't want to start another thread. Today as I was cleaning almost every part of my car I found out that my spare tire was an actual tire not one of those small ones which I thought it was in the beginning.
The tire was an Dunlop Sport which was surprisingly still in mint condition after 11 years haha. Awesome!

well usually I need to press the brakes first before lifting up the e-brake.. but now its very loose. If I pull a good half way lift the e-brake light lits up on my dash.

Als, the Dunlop Sport is what also came with my 96. Never had to use a spare until about 4 weeks ago. And when I needed it that Dunlop was there for me. With the new wheels and tires that I have on there I still have the Dunlop from 1995, and it is still in perfect condition. I wouldnt be surprised at all if that tire out lasts then engine in that car.
You dont have to push on the brake pedal to pull the e-brake...and the light should light up on the dash for the e-brake before you even get to the first click.

I don't think that would happen unless you cranked up on the brake. What this will be a problem for is fuel millage, if you always have a brake slightly on I think that would really cause a drop, as well as wearing out the e-brake.
oh i dont think i explain it too well but the problem was also that now I can just lift it with no braking or even pressing the button. Is this still ok?
