Need help! Engine driving problem.
I've got the 1mzfe. My car starts, drives away from the driveway just fine. But as soon as the engine gets warm and I stop at a stop light, the EGR valve sticks on. It creates a minor rumble at idle. If I go home and let the engine sit cold overnight and restart and drive away for that day I am good for about 4 or 5 miles until the EGR valve kicks on again and stays on even when I slow down, creating an idle rumble. As far as the EGR valve is concerned, it is working properly. It comes on and off depending on the signal the computer sends. I know the EGR valve should not be on at idle, so which controller is sending the bad signal at warm idle?
We coded the engine and replaced the EGR valve and have the exact same problem. It is not a bad EGR valve. The problem is a bad code from another sensor at warm idle, but we don't know how to trace that signal. So which sensor is telling the EGR valve to be on at warm idle when it should be off at warm idle?
Thanks for any help.
