turn signal problem!

here's the problem. my front left signal won't flash when i need to put on my signal,it's on but it won't flash, and my rear signal flashes really fast. i checked the fuse and it's not blown so thats not the problem. i took out the corner lights today and i couldn't find anything wrong with the wires or bulb.

so does anyone have any suggestions?

update:
this is weird. with my lights off they work and with the emergency button. but why won't it work when my parking and headlights are on?

The 1st thing to do is take the frt bulb out and look into the socket and you will see 2 silver tabs, take a tooth pick and lift up on the 2 tabs. What you are doing is making a tighter connection for the bulb. Common problem with them.

sounds similar to what happened to my tail light/brake light. i ended up replacing the socket cause of corrosion. so i would check for any corrosion.

It's not corrosion that is the problem. What happens is the tabs get pushed down and don't make a good contact to the bulb

Common on these cars. Even though you think the bulbs are working, replace them. It worked for me on 2 98's and it's a cheap enough fix to try.
