Throttle Body Retrofit

I have searched for long and found nobody who makes an after market throttle body for the 5sfe. Therefore I got the idea to get a throttle body from skunk2 or someone else and retrofit it to my 5sfe. Has anyone hear ever done this? I know it would require some custom fabrication, which I can do. I was thinking of a 60mm or 66mm skunk2 b series throttle body, then retrofit it. But a guy I talked to at a car show told me thats people who are in my situation get mustang throttle bodies because they can be easily adapted to fit many applications. I looked at my friends mustang and the throttle body on it looks like it would need a ton of modifying to fit the 5sfe. Anybody have any information/advice on which throttle body would fit the 5sfe with the least amount of modification?

i cant comment on how much work except it would be quite a bit. but keep in mind, if NA, jsut upgrading the TB wont be worth it. to actually get any real power youd want to have a P&P, cams, some way to tune like safc, full exhaust w/headers and port out the intake manifold. only then would the work on the TB be actually be worth it.

on a different note, im surprised no one has tried to do ITBs.

why do you want a different throttle body? do you expect to see some sort of horsepower gains, because i doubt you will have a noticeable difference even with aftermarket throttle pieces

1mz fe tb plugs into the 5s harness and functions properly. but you will need to modify the intake manifold and have a "log" welded on and a 1mz throttle body mount welded on
