#sge in 3rd gen camry

hey guys im a newbie in this forum i recently purchased a 96 camry dx with a blown motor 5sfe. I ve searched every where to see if any has tried to install a second gen or even a 3rd gen 3sge in a 3rd gen camry ?

ive herd you can do it but its not worth it. if ur gonna swap in a motor there are better options.

Well it really depends on what your looking for? If Turbo is what your planning, then go stright to the 2nd/3rd gen 3S-GTE, but for all motor then the 3S-GE is a good platform to use. The 2nd gen 3S-GE has about 160 hp, and the 3rd gen as about 177hp. Also do remember that the 3S-GE Beams has 197~207hp. All these are have a huge amount of performance parts, plus a very good amount of turq.
