3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Hey guys here to break the ice at TN and dialing in from Toronto, Ontario w/92' Camry LE 4 CYL 2.2L 5 SPD Power everything except sunroof is broken
I've PM'ed some guys about my suspension setup and here is what I will be doing:
KYB GR-2 w/H&R Sports all around and Strut mounts and boots all around
Now when I look at the wheel gap right now and compensate the 1.25/1.25 drop I don't see a great difference. I am not looking for any rubbing either just a nice close fit. EYEBALL's sig has what I am looking for but its a V6 and 2dr. I want to see a 2.2L 4CYL like EYEBALLS setup.
As for rims I am looking at the 17'' OZ Superleggera Dark Steel and 215/45 or 215/50 rubbers to compliment this. This is not written in stone cuz I might change my mind on the rim and rubber.
My concern is I don't know what the outcome with be with this setup in terms of the amount of drop. I am asking a favour from anyone who has this setup (strictly GEN3) to post their ride so I can get an idea of what it would look like.
Any constructive criticism would be more than welcomed
i posted this on a local forum to show people what i was considering before i made my decision...

Sprint [1.8" F, 1.8" R]
Dropzone [1.8" F, 1.8" R]
the problem is ... people have had problems with the last 3 (Intrax, Sprint, Dropzone) sagging on the Gen 3 Camry either all around, or in the rear ... and i dont want springs that continue to sag and become uneven
my final decision: ~3" Drop All Around ... adjustability ftw

Nice Venom so you did it already. I read that you were gonna get the k-sports, but how much did that compromise the ride comfort? What about sag? 3 inch drop is a lot... no?
K-sports are coilovers right? Which ones?
I like that 3" drop it looks hawt but I can't do that here in Toronto, winters are brutal

Ride Comfort = 2 on a scale of 1 to 10 ... its all about handling, so i have no comfort
Sag = non existant ... linear springs and adjustable height means its sag proof
My drop is definitely a lot ... ill probably raise it up a little for the summer ... and yes, i have K-Sport Kontrol Pro coilovers

I've asked some shops and they say Tokico's run stiffer and shorter, does that mean if I put H&R springs with Tokico blues I would get a 1.5 drop approx??
