You may have build-up on your throttle plate. This build-up can cause a plethora of problems in these cars. Try to clean it out. Most shops can do it if you don't want to. You'll need throttle plate/carb cleaner, an old toothbrush(with 1 foot of string tied tightly on the end in case you drop it, it happens) and a 10mm socket/ratchet. Take off the intake hose at the intake manifold end, and the vacuum line above it. You can just get it away enough without pulling anything else. Then spray the cleaner in and scrub the throttle area where the plate touches the body. Wipe off with a rag or towel, reassemble and start. The car won't want to start right away from the cleaner, but it'll start. Have a door open, because it'll smoke a lot. It's a first step that is fairly easy to do.
