Question ELECTRICAL GREMLINS '92 4 cyl wagon

GREETINGS!

i have a 1992 camry wagon. for quite a while, the radio and clock have been intermittent; always both, never one or the other. initially, they would come on mysteriously and after a while only when when i hit a bump ... for the last several months, no matter what they have not worked.

now that i'm going on a loooong trip tomorrow, it's time to address this!

can Anyone help?

Many Thanks in advance!!!

Evidently they share a common power wire or ground wire (or both) and one or the other has a loose connection or the wire itself has broken. Since it no longer works at all it will be fairly easy to determine which is bad. Get you a multi-meter and go to town. You could start at the fuse panel and check there first. If you have power at the fuse I guess you will need to pull the radio from the dash and start testing from there.

Do a search for ideas on how to disassemble the dash to get at the radio.
