4th Generation Paint

Ok i know that this doesnt specifically involve camrys but her goes,

I was think about paintin my 97 Camry, i saw that Maaco has a $249 paint job and i saw this and thought this was too good to be true, so i was wondering what kind of quallity i would get from this paint job, im thinking about painting it some kind (shade/type) of black i wanted to know if this would work or not.
If anyoine has any experience or any advice on paint (or Maaco) that would much be appreciated
Pics too please

U'd be better off painting it urself, than getting the 249 Maaco paint Job.

The cheap paint job is advertised to get u "in the door". Then they try to sell u an up grade with a much more expensive, and questionable better quality deal.
Ask around, check the yellow pages. Try to find a place with a good rep. Paint jobs can be as much as 2-3k for quality work.

Don't go to Maaco, ever, for anything. I had a little run in with an object at a parking lot (no other cars involved), and I had to replace the front bumper cover, front bumper, headlights, and a turn signal. I went to Maaco to have them do all of that work (before I knew how to do it myself), and they almost completely screwed up.

First of all, the bumper they put on was painted ON the car! Second, they left masking tape used for masking the paint off in a few spots. Third, THEY DIDN'T INSTALL THE REPLACEMENT BUMPER I PAID FOR. Fourth, I paid for a headlight alignment, which they failed to do. Fifth, it took them twice as long to the work they hardly did as they initially told me it would.

$250 is way too cheap for a paint job. Earl Scheib offered a paint job around that much but I decided to pass because I could just see them doing a crappy job.

Fuck flat black. Gloss black all the way. Save up some money and get yourself a nice $1000 gloss black paint job. You will love it.
