The Camry is a car that I can rip out someone's pride, stab it, beat it, and completely bash their egos, and it's so ridiculous that the person comes back with a hysterical laugh... ROFL They got trainlengthed by a Camry that in their mind, was a 18 sec car.
Well I see your other cars in your sig and those are easy 12sec cars.
Compared to your Camaro...Camry will feel like a slug.
damn I was going to post up that I know my other cars are alittle fast but.. riding in my friends civic with 2 people or my acura CL or mercury sable from last year they both where faster then this by way far
I can punch it at 80 and it barely moves hell it shifts into 2nd at around 4k rpms because i gotta put so much foot in it if I take my foot off at 2-3k it shifts fine but its slow as hell.. my friend had 97 a few years ago and when I drove it, it wasn't a hog like this thing is

If still in doubt.
Check the timing marks.
Maybe some how the last person who replaced the T-belt installed it a tooth off.
^^ I'd check this first then set my ignition timing.

ya i was thinking timing was off maybe..... no popping or anything but no passing at all driving the car home i almost died a few times by not being able to just get out of the way
I imagine this car is just dot to dot with the timing marks.. just take off the cover and look

Basically right.
Line up the marks on the crank pulley to 0.
Pop the upper T-belt cover off.
Cam gear is a 5 spoke.
One of the spokes has a hole in it (12 o'clock position) to see if it lines up with the mark on the head. Actually it's in the cam cap.
that explains it alot.. yeah going from high powered car (as seen in your sig) to lower power car.. you will feel the difference and appreciate the power.. but not the gas mileages.
