OK guys, finally had some time to do this..
I hope it helps..
Make a hole the size of the led on the right side of the panel Make another hole on the left side Now you have 4 leds I ran the wires and connected to the ashtray light with a plug to make it easy to remove the front. Done, put everything back togheter.
Now let's go to the ignition light
Now let's go to the glove compartment
Pull it out I used #74 leds for all this.. I also tried this first and it worked pretty good but all the damn leds burned after 2 minutes , I took them appart from a panel and I think they had some little resistors so they don't burn...
Also get some blue tape around the center console to protect the area from scratches..
Sorry for the crappy DIY but I'm not patient and this thing takes a lot of time

thats sick i def want to do my hvac controls and gauges in leds!

Mods: Borla Dual Exhaust with no resonator, K&N Intake, 5k HID headlights and 5k HID foglights, LED Tail lights, Complete interior leds, Ultra Racing Front Strut Bar, Ultra Racing 19mm rear sway bar, 20% tint, Rosen navigation system, 19 inch ASA GT1 wheels
Looks great. The last pic you posted of the HVAC unit, was that after you installed 4 LEDs? If so, how bad is the light output with only 2 LED's there?

The blury pic it's with the 4 leds, with 2 leds it's pretty bad, as I stated before on a post above, the light it's uneven, since the leds send the light straight you only have light on the center area of the controls, that's why I added one more on each side..
Note: I noticed that behind the front of the cover the coat of white paint it's thicker on the center and thiner as it goes to the sides, they did this because the oem bulbs are located on the center area and this way it distributes the light more even.
i wonder if you use 2 leds but use tin foil like some people have used on the gauge cluster to more evenly distribute the light would work

Yup, that would work to disperse the light more evenly throughout, though i'd recommend pieces of polished aluminum more than tin foil for a better looking spread
Nice pictures, though I wish i had that thing under the rearview mirror like you do!
Great DIY, i may have to try this once my bigger mods are finished
