me has a 3.5g..the other day iw as dickin around with the radio, pulling it out to see how hard a new aftermarket install would be. apparently, too hard for my lazy ass. onwards to the point: when i reinstalled, reconnected, and re-put-everything-back-together, i get almost no local radio signal. i kno how my radio should work and where, but me radio is bein a bitch leavin me to fend for myself as far as in car entertainment goes. good thing i have an FM transmitter...anyone else know what i can do?

One of the removable connectors is for the external antenna. It's possible you forgot to plug it back in.

Replacing the head unit in a Gen3/3.5 is about as easy as it gets. If you buy the correct adapter harnesses from Crutchfield or Best Buy, etc., it's very straight forward. If you already had your stock radio out, you were half way there.

And yeah, it sounds like you didn't get your antenna plugged back in.
