Just a quick confirmation needed, Gen3 Camry, stock 4 inch speakers. Can they be upgraded to 6.5s?

I read a few places that it was easy (I assumed a bracket was used) and ordered a set of speakers, just now I've popped out and checked the car out, and she seems to be a fairly tight squeese between the trim and the glass.

Your 4.5 inch is mounted in a black plastic bracket. Remove the plastic surround and I guess it should be deep enough. I personally just put in 4inches.

Yeah I saw the black plastic bracket, but upon removing it, there were no standard mounting points that I saw, and with (estimated) 1.5 - 2 inch clearance to the glass, i may have to make some risers.

Then comes the issue of the trim

I picked up a set of MTX Audio components, so i'm putting the tweeters in the quarter\mirror panels, and hoping i can fit \ modify the trims to fit over the new woofers.
