I think he is attaching another tube to it to convert it into a CAI.

its probably a custom made tube because I've checked out injen's site and they don't make any extensions tubes for the camry air intakes. They only make one for the 350Z.

There was a group buy for Injen SRI extensions to convert them to CAI on SolaraGuy. I contacted the guy coordinating the group buy but he wasn't sure if this extension would work on the 4cyl.

1Kdude, what engine do you have and where did you get the extension?

Yes, Its an aftermarket not injen extension tube to go through the fender well.

This is to go on an LE V6 with manual trans.

I'll take it to a local race shop for an install.

you are probably talking about the UPF extension they made for the injen short ram. its pretty straightforward, pull your filter off existing shortram, run one end down the fender opening, connect the other end to the short ram with the rubber coupling. turn your wheel all the way to the left, then install filter from the wheel well. make sure keep the filter sealed around the piping because its a tight fit, the clamp barely slips around the piping. theres also another piece that is a threaded on both ends (i think) and has a little rubber piece in the middle that supports the extension up. i got it to support it up but then then extension and short ram piping doesnt really line up so i had to play with the coupling to make it work.
