3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
A friend of mine is willing to sell me coils that will lower my camry 4 inches. I've never ridden in/driven/worked on a lowered car.
What are you alls thoughts? Should I do it? Or would it look like absolute shit and be touching the ground?
we drop my buddy's V dub with COs to 4 inchs and that sucker wasnt moving anywhere..

they must be coilovers(otherwise that has to be bs) and lowering 4in requires A LOT of modifications because the lower you go the more maintnance it requires

What car are they coming off of? Any more details? $50 seems reasonable for a used set of springs, but not for CO's.
I have no details farther than that. I haven't asked him about it more than a price. I wanted to check to see if it was worth it or not before I got too dedicated to the idea.
DONT do it. 4 inches and you WILL be dragging the frame over slight inclines and large bugs.
yup.. couldnt even get my friend's car of the lift. (its not that low now... we just set it 4 inch to see how car would look like).. it was bad.. but yeah i agree.. 4inch drop for 50 bucks.. something is fishy.. i could got some vogtland springs for 60 dollars..
