3rd Generation Worth using an aftermarket dogbone?

Hello Guys,

I have a 1993 Camry le 6cyl., I was told and can see that the dogbone (front engine mount) is wornout and cracked.

I called around......toyota dealer wants $91 for it the parts store are quoting me $45... half.

Is it important that I should get an original part....or it really dosen't matter in this case?
The only difference that I thought there could be would be the quality of the rubber (therefore less vibrations).

any pointers?
thanks kindly
Liam

aftermarket is fine since our cars are old, it's not worth the money to put in an dealer part that'll last another 12 years.

we will live with the aftermarket that will live for 8 years

Go aftermarket, the dogbone isn't a critical part that demands O.E. quality.

WOW! My dealer wants only $71 for a dogbone for my 94 V6. Still alot, but it beats $91

Thanks for the replies, I picked up and aftermarket one ended up paying only 34 bucks...in case you're thinking of changing one, keep in mind you might need a small torch to heat up the bolt under, to get it out.
