gen4 oem fog lights

Just registered to the forum but I've been a fequent visitor. Hope you all can help me. I have a 97 CamryXLE V6. My wife just hit a deer Wednesday. Thinking about getting some oem fog lights when I get the body work done. I need some opinions on the looks of oem fog lights vs. aftermarket fog lights like the slim Piaa’s. Also which one performs better. I go to the adjuster tomorrow morning.

Thanks

A quality aftermkt foglight will prolly be much brighter than OEM. This is assuming it's aimed properly and not blinding other drivers.

BTW-Welcome to TN.

Thanks.

I like just like the look of the oem fogs. They look clean. Like they're supposed to be there.

That's the problem. Most, if not all OE foglights are nothing more than "appearance" upgrades. They do absolutley nothing more then line the pockets of the dealer and blind oncoming traffic.

So the oem fogs aren't good quality?

I wonder if anyone has pics of there gen4 w/ aftermarket fogs. I would be very interested in seeing how they look.

Thanks

They're just 2 round bezels. Here's a really small pic of Eddie's old set up (1st pic). Sorry about the size. Maybe he, or somebody else has a better pic.

Steph97 happens to have a set for sale if you really want the OEM look.

The grills in the bumper have to be cut.

They look very similar to the fog lights on VW Bettles;
