Suggestion on where to order TOYOTA items??

I was wondering if there was any reputable sites for Toyota parts that's probably cheaper than local 'dealership'?

Thanks.

Best price...I have checked about 6 online OEM wholesalers and they are the cheapest and ship fast.

Thanks. Do you know if they call shims, backing plate? On the website?

I gotta order some.
Btw, does brake fluid have shelf life? As long it's sealed right?

Thanks.

What parts are you looking for?

Brake backing plate is typically the large sheet metal plate behind the rotor or drum. Shims are go behind the brake pads themselves.

There is a link to ask a question. If you need an exploded view of an area, they will email it to you.
They have a good staff and will answer your question quickly.

I was put on hold for 3-5 minutes calling the dealership, so I hung up.
More so, customer service from those online sites didn't get back to me.

Gosh damn, I need those SHIMS =\

I have never had a problem with this online Toyota parts vender
www.toyotapartsales.com . Did you use the "contact us" link? It sometimes takes a few hours to get back with an email, but they always do and with pictures if you ask for them. Of course, I created an account with them, so all my information is correct including Vin #. NEVER EVER a problem or wrong part.

The pricing I see from Toyotapartsales.com is the same as the retail pricing I get from my local Toyota
dealer, based on the few parts I priced out that I've bought recently, BUT...I've bought enough from my local dealer that I am now always given a substantial discount. And, my dealer gets NEARLY everything I request
SAME DAY, if I get my order in by 10 AM. I've never had to wait more than three business days for ANY part.

Only in rare cases will I now go to a junkyard to pull used parts. I prefer the perfection and assured
quality of new parts. Getting favorable pricing helps a lot.

Give your dealer a fair chance to be competitive on parts costs. Many times they'll match REASONABLE
discounts, or give you a discount if you just ask nicely for it.

My dealer's customer service is absolutely excellent. I'm glad to give them my business.

Yes I am sure that I could haggle a lower price @ my local Toyota dealer. The only problem is that it is 1 1/2 hour round trip! Shipping is cheaper than gas.

I usually order from ToyotaParts4u.com by calling them and mentioning I am an Internet Customer (if you don't their price is similar to local, if not higher). Usually, they give me a price that is about 20-30% lower than local dealers and they ship fast and cheap.

I got to give the Dallas dealership a try some day too...

It is the same dealership. The Toyotaparts4u.com link is the main page for all their parts & TRD extras. The link I posted connects to the Toyota OEM parts page. Yes I have found that they are cheaper, I have compaired several venders.
